What is inside

Polylactic acid is the same family of material used for thread-lifting. PDLLA belongs to the wider group of biodegradable polymers: once in the tissue, the particles are gradually catabolised, and this slow breakdown is used to encourage the skin to build its own collagen. REGEN Biotech adds that the gel occupies the treated area on injection and keeps that starting volume for some time. Since the material degrades, nothing non-degradable stays behind and no surgical removal is involved.
