Blackhead Removal Cream

Rather than a classic cream, the Blackhead Removal Cream from LANBENA is a peel-off mask used with strips on the nose and other areas where blackheads show. It blends witch hazel flower water with a range of plant extracts, sodium hyaluronate and royal jelly, and is designed to lift dirt from pores and take away excess oil.

What is inside

Among the botanicals are Centella asiatica (gotu kola), green tea leaf, licorice root, chamomile flower, rosemary leaf, Polygonum cuspidatum root, Scutellaria baicalensis root and aloe leaf extracts. Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate add moisture, and polyvinyl alcohol is the film-former that lets the mask dry and peel.

Using it at home

  1. Cleanse the skin, then rest a warm towel over the area for around two minutes.
  2. Spread a medium-to-thick layer over the chosen area, keeping clear of the brows, hairline, eyes and lips.
  3. Lay the strips on top and press them down all over.
  4. Leave for 3-5 minutes until completely dry, then peel away.

Used once in a while, it slots into a wider skincare regimen alongside cleansing and moisturising.

Handling and storage

Patch-test on the inner arm if your skin is sensitive, stop using it if it causes discomfort, rinse straight away if any gets into the eyes, and keep it out of reach of children.
