BM Hyaluronidase Inj. is an injectable hyaluronidase preparation containing 1500 IU of hyaluronidase per 1 mL vial. It is used to increase the penetration of subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, local anesthetics and large volume subcutaneous injections, and to promote reabsorption of excess body fluids and blood within tissues.

Efficacy and Effects

Increases the penetration of subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, local anesthetics and subcutaneous injections. Promotes reabsorption of excess body fluids and blood in tissues.

Dosage and Administration

For subcutaneous or intramuscular injection and local anesthetic use, approximately 1500 IU is dissolved directly in the injection solution or local anesthetic solution to be administered. For extravasation or hematoma, 1500 IU is dissolved in 1 mL of sterile water for injection or physiological saline and infiltrated into the affected area as soon as possible. The product should be dissolved and used immediately before administration. Dosing should be determined by a qualified medical professional.

Contraindications

Do not administer to patients with a history of shock to this drug, hypersensitivity to this drug or bovine protein, swelling caused by a bite or sting, infection or cancer at or around the site, congenital heart defects, venous congestion, or serum protein levels of 5.5 g% or less. It should not be given to nursing mothers. As the product contains lactose, it should not be used in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose galactose malabsorption. Use with caution in patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity reactions.

Safety Information

Do not administer directly into the cornea or joints, as this may cause edema. Do not administer intravenously. Allergic reactions can occur even with extremely small amounts, so a thorough medical history and a skin reaction test in advance are advisable. Use with caution in pregnant women, and only when the benefits outweigh the risks. Elderly patients should be treated with caution, such as by reducing the dose. Avoid alcohol during and immediately after administration.

Adverse reactions are rare and may include local irritation, redness, pain, bleeding and bruising at the injection site, and, in rare cases, a severe allergic reaction. For glass ampoules, cut the container carefully to avoid glass fragment contamination. For use by qualified medical professionals only.
