Bonetta for Body

Supplied in a single 60 ml vial, Bonetta for Body is a mono-phasic body filler made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 24 mg/ml. Its purpose is volume restoration in larger body areas such as the buttocks and breasts.

The hyaluronic acid comes from bacterial fermentation; HA has the same molecular structure whatever its source, including that found in human tissue.

Manufacturing process

The gel is made with a patented method called PNET, short for Preserved Natural Entanglement Technology, that retains the natural entangled network of HA and relies on only a small number of synthetic cross-links. The manufacturer states that all of the BDDE is consumed in cross-linking and that a two-stage cleaning step then removes any free BDDE. Because the HA is only lightly modified, the gel is meant to stay breakable by hyaluronidase if a correction is ever needed.

Texture and finish

The gel is described as highly viscous and cohesive, with a balanced hardness and good mouldability, so the practitioner can shape it after placement.
