Cleviel with Lidocaine

Developed by AMOREPACIFIC in Korea, Cleviel with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid gel at 33 mg/ml that includes lidocaine for comfort during injection. Its high viscoelasticity is intended to give structural support in areas such as the nose, chin and cheeks.

Formulation

The gel is made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the skin. The manufacturer uses what it calls 4L cross-link technology, built around four principles:

  • Low BDDE – a reduced amount of the chemical cross-linker
  • Low temperature – production designed to limit heat exposure of the hyaluronic acid
  • Low swelling – a gel designed to limit swelling after injection
  • Long duration – a high-density gel intended to stay in place for longer

The proportion of chemical bonds is stated to be below 1%. The manufacturer also states that the product is certified by the Korean health and welfare authority.
