Glutanex Mask

Each Glutanex Mask is a cotton Cupra sheet saturated with a glutathione-based essence. Made with dry and sensitive skin in mind, it is a 15-minute sheet treatment used to brighten and hydrate the complexion and to refresh skin that is starting to show fine lines.

Texture and finish

The Cupra sheet is woven from natural cotton fibres. Once it is on the face it turns almost see-through and clings closely to the contours of the skin, so it stays in place while you relax. The fabric is engineered to hold a generous load of essence and give it up gradually over the full wearing time rather than all at once.

What is inside

Glutathione is the headline active. Around it sit niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin and adenosine, a hydrating group of glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed and acetylated forms of hyaluronic acid and hydroxyethyl urea, plus hydrolysed collagen, beta-glucan and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E). The essence also contains raspberry ketone and fragrance, and is preserved with phenoxyethanol. Anyone checking for a specific ingredient should read the full INCI list on the pack. Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is one of the more familiar ingredients in brightening skincare.

Using it at home

  1. Chill the mask in the fridge before you use it.
  2. Cleanse, then lay the sheet over the face and leave it for 15 minutes.
  3. Peel it away slowly and press any leftover essence into the skin with your fingertips.

A sheet mask works well as a weekly extra in an existing skincare routine.

Handling and storage

Keep the masks refrigerated and out of direct sunlight, and store them where children cannot reach them. Do not apply to broken or damaged skin, and stop using the mask if you notice a rash, swelling or itching – a dermatologist can advise.
