Juvederm Volux

Juvederm Volux from Allergan is a hyaluronic acid gel with lidocaine, built for shaping the chin and the jawline. It relies on Allergan's Vycross cross-linking process, and each box holds a pair of 1Β ml syringes. It is manufactured in France by Allergan.

What is inside

Each millilitre of gel contains:

  • 25 mg hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin, cross-linked with BDDE
  • 3 mg lidocaine
  • A phosphate buffer at pH 7.2 to make up the volume

The gel is sterile, pyrogen-free and physiological. The Vycross process cross-links low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid chains; within the range, Volux is the option intended for contouring the lower face.

In the United States the product is sold as Volux XC, and its labelling there sets out placement at subcutaneous and/or supraperiosteal depth to define the jaw, in adults older than 21. Handling and storage

Keep at room temperature, no higher than 25Β Β°C, and never freeze. The syringes must not be resterilised, and the product should not be used beyond the expiry date shown on the label.
