How It Works

PLLA microspheres are injected into the subcutaneous layer, where they begin to stimulate the body's own collagen production. As new tissue forms, cells migrate into the porous PLLA microspheres and collagen is created, continuously increasing volume through ongoing collagenesis. As new collagen forms, the skin gradually becomes more elastic, more resilient, and visibly fuller and smoother. Over time, the material is naturally metabolized and broken down through normal metabolic processes.

Microsphere Design

The round shaped, constant size microspheres feature a porous surface that provides a larger surface area for contact with surrounding tissue, supporting fibroblast activity, the cells responsible for producing collagen. This uniform microsphere design supports easy injection with reduced needle clogging, since uniform particle size and shape help the product pass smoothly during injection, and smoother tissue integration as the microspheres sit evenly in the skin layer to support balanced volume formation.
