With 50,000 ppm of salmon-derived PDRN at its heart, Matrigen ESR PDRN Ampoule is a facial serum that behaves more like a light cream. Where most ampoules are clear and watery, this one carries plenty of moisturisers and oils for longer-lasting comfort, and it adds adenosine and niacinamide to the mix.

What is inside

  • Sodium DNA – the component behind PDRN, short for polydeoxyribonucleotide; it is included to support the skin's renewal cycle and to help counter oxidative stress.
  • Seven forms of hyaluronic acid – sodium hyaluronate, its hydrolysed and crosspolymer forms, plus hyaluronic acid and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, for layered hydration that helps lock moisture in.
  • Madecassoside – calms sensitivity and helps keep pores clear.
  • Niacinamide – for a brighter look and a stronger barrier.
  • Adenosine – chosen for elasticity and the look of fine lines.

Formulation

The base is water with glycereth-26, glycerin and caprylic/capric triglyceride, emulsified with polyglyceryl-3 stearate, cetearyl olivate and polysorbate 60. Dimethicone, stearic acid and cetearyl alcohol add slip and body, while allantoin, arginine and methylpropanediol round out the formula. Preservation and stability come from chlorphenesin, ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, pentylene glycol, butylene glycol, carbomer and disodium EDTA.
