Restylane Skin Boosters Vital Light

Older stock may carry its previous name, Restylane Vital Light, but Restylane Skin Boosters Vital Light is the same gel: 12 mg/ml of HA with light cross-linking. Practitioners distribute it evenly across selected zones on the face or body to top up moisture and strengthen the skin, and it is made by Q-Med AB in Uppsala, Sweden, for Galderma. It is manufactured in Sweden by Galderma.

Formulation

Its hyaluronic acid is carried in phosphate-buffered saline. A version containing 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride (3 mg per ml) also exists. Thanks to the gentle cross-linking, the gel is placed at a greater depth than typical revitalisers and acts much like a soft, delicate filler.

Where it is used

Practitioner guidance

Inject into the dermis, ideally its deeper portion, using the 29G needle supplied or a 30G blunt cannula. Store at up to 25 Β°C, away from sunlight and frost. The manufacturer lists these contraindications: inflamed skin (for example herpes or acne), a tendency to hypertrophic scars or vascularisation, known allergies or hypersensitivity to the ingredients, autoimmune conditions, cancer, and pregnancy or breastfeeding.
