Revolax Sub-Q

It is a single-phase, highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid product holding 24 mg/ml of non-animal HA together with 0.3% lidocaine HCl, and it is used where the goal is volume and facial contour rather than fine surface lines.

Among soft-tissue fillers, Sub-Q sits at the volumising end. Listed zones are the jawline and overall facial contour, the chin, the nose and the cheeks, as well as medium-deep to deep creases such as the nasolabial folds. Its structural role makes it relevant to multi-area approaches like liquid facelifts. Within the same family, Revolax Fine is the lighter gel for superficial lines, and Revolax Deep covers lips, cheeks and moderate creases.

Choosing a variant

The product is offered in two versions: Korean Revolax and CE European Revolax.

Handling and storage

  • The syringe is for single use; discard it if the pack is open or damaged, and never re-sterilise.
  • Do not combine with other products before implantation or place it where an implant already sits.
  • HA gels are incompatible with quaternary ammonium salts such as benzalkonium chloride.
  • Take care with patients who have clotting problems or take thrombolytics, anticoagulants or platelet aggregation inhibitors.
  • Patients are advised to skip aspirin, NSAIDs and high-dose vitamin C in the week before, and to avoid strong sun, UV, heat and cold for two weeks after.
  • A blocked needle should be swapped rather than forced with extra plunger pressure.
