The smallest size of the Derm grade, Skinject Derm 1ml contains 1 mL of clear, biodegradable hyaluronic acid gel at 24 mg/mL. It is intended for the mid-dermal layer and suits single-area appointments or top-ups.

Areas of application

The manufacturer lists five zones for this grade: lips, for augmentation; marionette lines; the corners of the mouth where they droop; the nasolabial folds; and temples that have lost volume. Because the particles are mid-sized, the gel sits between the superficial Fine and the volumising Deep grades.

Practitioner guidance

The specified needle is a BD 27G, and the gel is placed in the middle dermis. Quantity per zone and technique are chosen by the treating practitioner at consultation. A 1 mL syringe limits waste when only one zone is being addressed, and several 1 mL units can be combined where a plan grows to cover more areas. As with the other Skinject grades, the gel is described as clear and biodegradable.
