Stayve Dermawhite Exfoliating Gel

Stayve Dermawhite Exfoliating Gel is the acid step that prepares the face for microneedling (MTS) and BB Glow work. Built on mandelic acid supported by two further acids, it is designed to loosen dead surface cells gently, giving a smoother feel and a brighter-looking complexion before the needling stage.

Formulation

The three named actives are mandelic, shikimic and phytic acid. Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid of the kind used in mild acid peels. These sit in a water and glycerin base thickened with xanthan gum and hydroxyethylcellulose, with disodium EDTA and phenoxyethanol completing the formula.

Practitioner guidance

  1. Open the session using the Stayve cleansing milk and follow with Stayve Hydrating Rose Toner applied on a cotton pad.
  2. With a brush, lay the gel on generously. Timing depends on skin type: 2 minutes for dry, 3 for normal and 5 for oily skin. Sensitive skin may tingle slightly.
  3. Lift it off with water, a damp towel or a moistened sponge.
  4. Neutralise using the Dermawhite foam: brush it on, work it for 3 minutes and rinse.
  5. Apply a booster ampoule suited to the skin's needs, or a standard BB ampoule for BB Glow, and needle for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Close the session with a soothing or modelling pack, adding 10–15 minutes under an Omega light if the clinic has one.

Handling and storage

The 290 ml bottle keeps for two years unopened. Store it out of direct sunlight and away from children. Keep clear of the eyes and any broken skin.

Common questions

Can it be left on longer for oily skin? Yes – up to 5 minutes for oily skin, compared with 2 for dry and 3 for normal.

Does it need neutralising? Yes, the protocol follows it with Stayve Dermawhite Neutralising Foam.

What if irritation appears? Stop and seek professional advice if a rash, swelling or itching develops, or if sunlight makes symptoms worse.
