Teeth Whitening comes as a bleaching kit of ready-loaded trays holding a strong peroxide gel. It is designed to reduce surface staining on natural enamel that builds up from what we eat and drink, or from smoking.

Practitioner guidance

Because of the peroxide strength, this kit is for professional use: whitening is to be done by, or under the eye of, an appropriately licensed dental professional. The general sequence is:

  1. Take one tray out of its packaging.
  2. Seat it on the dental arch so it fits snugly.
  3. Leave it in place for the wear time given in the instructions.
  4. Take it out, then rinse the mouth.

Wear time and the number of sessions follow the enclosed instructions. The gel should not be swallowed, and contact with the gums should be kept to a minimum.

Who it suits

Adults whose teeth carry surface staining from coffee, tea, wine, food or tobacco. Anyone with crowns, fillings, sensitive teeth or gum concerns should be assessed first; peroxide does not alter the shade of restorations, so existing dental work will keep its current colour.
