Each box of U:Gen Atelo Collagen holds a single 1 ml pre-filled syringe of injectable atelocollagen, together with sterile needles and instructions. The product is used to add volume within the skin and to address the look of wrinkles, scars and uneven tone, either alone or alongside platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

What is inside

The active material is atelocollagen: type I collagen from which the telopeptide ends have been removed. Taking away these segments gives the collagen low antigenicity, and the material is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body over time. PRP, prepared from the client's own blood, can optionally be combined with it.

Once injected, the collagen sits within the dermal layer, lifting wrinkled or depressed areas from beneath. The manufacturer also states that it suppresses the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in melanin formation, which is why uneven tone appears among its uses.
